Maybe a good substitute until the option is re-implemented with the new functionality is to improve highlighting for a focused document on the global graph. Then you can use the global graph nicely to find all the nested relations and keep all direct relations in the local graph. Currently, it's hard to find the focused document in the global graph when you didn't use the graph to open it - only then it's highlighted. But shouldn't it also be highlighted when using other methods to open a document?
