Can the issue be reproduced with the default theme (daylight/midnight)?

• I was able to reproduce the issue with the default theme

Could the issue be due to extensions?

• I've ruled out the possibility that the extension is causing the problem.

Describe the problem

Add about 11 tags to a Doc

• In light theme, the 7th tag background does not become solid color (i.e. non-transparent, i.e. opaque) on hover
  
  
• In dark theme, the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th and 11th tags have problem in both cases: 1. not hovered and 2. hovered
  
  

Expected result

Tag content should be readable in both cases:

1. not hovered
2. hovered

Not sure what the ideal solution would be.
