It's a little bit late, it comes eventually, though.
In the past week, I started a new career at Ericsson. Not surprisingly, the first week is sort of tough for me. New environment, new colleagues, and brand new technology stack, it takes me some time to get used to it, especially the technology stack, since I found that there are tons of concepts and acronyms which sound like alien language to me.
Operating system, which has been a shortcoming for me all the time, plays a extremely important role in the routine here. Given this, I think there is no excuse for me to shrink back from it any more. On the other hand, Python has been used extensively here, I regard this as a good opportunity to master Python, although I have just write some dummy Python code previously, because as a qualified programmer, you gotta be good at one script language, Python is absolutely great candidate.
Both operating system and computer network are the foundation of programming, it is never too late to get the hang of them.
There is one thing I want to complain - I need to spend nealy 2 and half hours on commute! Nevertheless, the only thing I can do with it is to get the most out of those time. Reading book and listening to English podcast are what I do as of today, and it is not bad.
Go, Eric, Go!
